A beautifully realised slice of vaudevillian puppet theatre...Like giving your inner child an enormous sack of sweets and a cuff round the ear... this deliciously dark and very twisted show repeatedly proves just how good fringe theatre can, and should, be." HAIRLINE * * * * *

The whole show is a pleasure to watch and even, if possible, re-watch... Missing a show by Les Enfants Terribles would normally constitute somewhat of a sacrilege, but missing The Terrible Infants should be penalised by law. If ever there was a more perfect little show, this is it. BROADWAY BABY * * * * *
I only wish Jackanory had been this good... You can easily imagine these working their way into the fabric of fairy tales past down to the next generation, simply excellent.... A visual feast, like an exquisitely illustrated children's book... I loved it so much I didn't want it to end! FRINGE REVIEW * * * * *
Delightful and enchanting... a magical hour that adults will enjoy as much as kids... both dark and funny...The audience was enthralled from the beginning... Colourful and wickedly fun, this is storytelling as it should be. ONE4REVIEW * * * * *

Simply stunning...flawless...The blend of beautiful language, original music and physical theatre works in such a natural way. This is a show that will absorb both children and adults... modern theatre at its very best. THE EVENING STANDARD * * * * *
The Terrible Infants is a beautifully realised slice of vaudevillian puppet theatre and crawls with characters that could have escaped from Lewis Carroll's waste paper basket. This Jackanory on dodgy mushrooms proves just how good fringe theatre can be. THE LIST * * * *
Combining music, performance and puppetry to excellent effect. This revelry is a pleasure to behold, making both children and adults follow them wherever they wander. BRITISH THEATRE GUIDE * * * *
Wonderful... all will find themselves spellbound by this great looking show. EDFESTMAG.CO.UK * * * *

Taking the spirit of Struwwelpeter, Edward Gorey and Roald Dahl screeching and laughing into the 21st century. THE GUARDIAN
These cautionary tales are terrific fun, poised somewhere between Shockheaded Peter and Roald Dahl's nastiest stories... Tilly's fate is threaded through the show's wittily scripted and visually inventive 60 minutes. The pleasures and lurking perils of the nursery are conjured with some nifty shadow play, and the cast - who look like they have raided the dressing-up box and mum's makeup - are enormously versatile... The show raises a warped little smile with a pointed script, live musical accompaniment and every physical theatre trick in the box. |
